The Gulf Coast Industry Forum (GCIF), hosted by the Economic Alliance Houston Port Region, is the organization’s largest annual event, bringing together industry, government, and community stakeholders to share insights impacting the Houston Port Region and Gulf Coast industries, including petrochemical, maritime, and logistics sectors. Doors open at 7am, with welcome and introductions at 9am.

Featured on the agenda is the Petrochemical Leadership Panel, discussing trends, innovations, workforce strategies, and investments driving the future of the Gulf Coast’s petrochemical industry. Panelists include Prem Vuthandam (Interim CEO, PEMEX Deer Park), Todd Behne (Plant Manager, OxyChem – Ingleside Plant), and Luca Balbo (Global Director of Operations, Dow), moderated by Jim Griffin (LyondellBasell Center for Petrochemical, Energy & Technology at San Jacinto College). Topics covered include operational excellence, emerging technologies, workforce development, and long-term investment strategies.
